What Pallet Pickup Costs

Pallet removal is a paid service. Saying so in the first line saves everybody a phone call, because a good deal of what gets searched under this heading is looking for somebody to take pallets away for nothing, and that is not what this is.

The four things that move the number

The site comes first, because access, the dock arrangement and how far a truck has to reverse are all real time on the job. Then the volume, which is the obvious one. Then the condition of what comes back, since not everything collected is worth reconditioning.

Then the distance, which is where minimum quantities come in: they can apply depending on where you are and how far we are traveling. If your volume is small, the practical answer is usually to fold your collection into a run we are already making in your area, so it is always worth asking whether there is one.

One-off clearance or standing schedule

These price differently, so it is worth knowing which one you are asking about. Collections are usually set to a standing schedule, weekly, every two weeks or monthly, because pallet accumulation turns out to be predictable once you have watched it for a month.

Same-week service is available across Metro Atlanta and West Georgia for one-off clearances, which is the other common shape: a yard that has got away from somebody and needs emptying once rather than managing forever.

At volume, the arrangement changes shape

High-throughput sites generate empties faster than a scheduled collection can clear them. For those we place a 53ft drop trailer on your yard holding up to 600 pallets and swap it when it fills, so your team loads empties as they appear rather than stacking them somewhere and waiting. Sites that both consume and discard at volume often run bulk supply and clearance on the same trailer schedule.

What the service itself involves

This page is about the number. How collections are scheduled, what happens to the pallets afterwards and which areas we run is all on the pallet removal page, and the areas themselves are listed on the service areas page.

How to get a firm number

Tell us what you have, where you are, and whether this is a one-off or something ongoing, and we will give you a number. We work to your receiving hours: if your dock is busiest first thing we come later, and if you would rather we came before a shift starts we can do that instead.

Get a collection priced

Tell us roughly how many pallets, where the site is and how often you want them gone, and we will come back with a number.
